ThermiVa uses radiofrequency energy to gently heat the vulvovaginal tissue to stimulate the natural production of collagen and elastin which helps to rejuvenate the tissue in the vaginal area, labial area or both. In a series of three treatments 4 weeks apart, the treatment can successfully treat:
The procedure takes about 30 minutes and is performed in the office. A specially designed ThermiVa electrode wand is used to gently heat the tissue in the targeted areas of the vagina and labia. The procedure is performed to each person’s comfort level and anesthesia is not required. There is no downtime after the procedure. You may return to all normal activities of daily living immediately after the procedure including exercise and sexual activity. Unlike surgical labioplasty procedures, there are no incisions or stitches involved with this procedure. Skin tightening of the treatment area occurs immediately and continues to improve for several weeks after each procedure. Patients will need to complete three treatments over a 12 week period for optimal results. An annual touch up treatment is also recommended once you complete the initial series as the normal aging process will continue.
