What You Need to Know before Booking your New Patient Appointment?
Financial Policy
Blades Wellness and Aesthetics is a private wellness practice that does not accept/file insurance for office visits. If needed, we can provide you with a detailed receipt at the time of your visit that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
All payments are due at the time of service. We accept cash, credit/debit cards and HSA/FSA cards. You will need to check with your insurance company for HSA/FSA coverage.
To respect our time and that of other patients, we require at least 24 hour notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. Missed appointments or late cancellations will incur a cancellation fee.

Bio-Identical Hormone Consultation Protocol
Treatment is indicated for: Hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, weight gain, low libido, poor memory or concentration, loss of muscle mass, poor sleep, dry skin, hair loss, brittle fingernails, joint pain as well as many other symptoms.
Laboratory testing: A full blood panel will need to be done before your first visit with one of our providers. This set of lab work needs to be fasting. One of our providers will go over this lab work at length during your initial visit. Lab work can be done at the outpatient lab of your choice or with Tribal in our office and is covered by most insurance companies. Lab work typically takes 7-10 business days to return and will need to be resulted prior to your initial visit. If you have previously had bloodwork with your PCP, you can send us those results to avoid having duplicate tests done.
Initial BHRT Consultation: This new patient consultation is approximately 90 minutes. It includes a detailed review of symptoms and medical history, a review of laboratory results and a customized BHRT treatment plan.
Second BHRT Consultation: Our providers require repeat lab testing 4-6 weeks after beginning the BHRT program. A second lab review consultation will then be scheduled to review symptoms and response to the BHRT protocol at that time. This visit is approximately 60 minutes in length.
Follow-up visits for BHRT: After your second visit, our providers require follow-up consultations with labs every 3-6 months. Visit frequency will be based on each individual and their response to treatment.

Most insurance companies will cover your labs, however we always suggest you call them to verify coverage before having your labs drawn.
Blades Wellness and Aesthetics has a discount with Labcorp, Quest and Tribal laboratories for patients that do not have medical insurance or have a high deductible medical insurance plan.
Some of the customized BHRT medications our providers prescribe are available at commercial pharmacies and are covered by insurance. In some instances, a specialized compounding pharmacy will need to be used to make medications specifically for you. There are a few compounding pharmacies that do take insurance, but many compounding pharmacies do not accept insurance. We work with several compounding pharmacies all over the Houston area. We will work with you to ensure the medication is as affordable to you as possible.
