These are brand names for products that have slightly different formulations but yield very similar results. At Blades Wellness and Aesthetics, all formulations are available to patients. During your initial consultation, we can help you decide which product is best for you.
The ideal candidate for neurotoxin facial injections is 18 years or older, not nursing or pregnant, and in good health overall. If you are experiencing wrinkles across your forehead, between your eyebrows, and around your eyes, BOTOX, Dysport, Xeomin, or Jeuveau may be for you. Please do not try these injectables if you are allergic to any of their ingredients.
The procedure is performed using a very small needle to inject small amounts of the solution. Most patients tolerate it very well. We can apply a small amount of topical anesthetic to help patients feel more comfortable during the procedure, but most patients do not feel this is necessary.
When you arrive for your treatment, the professionals at Blades Wellness will ensure you have a full understanding of the treatment they will be administering. We will review the procedure, expected results, and side effects, and make sure that we are injecting the proper areas on each patient based on wrinkle patterns.
Following your injection, there will be a small fine lump and a little redness in the area of the injection. These usually resolve within 30 minutes to one hour. These injection sites may be tender to touch for 2-3 days. There may be a very small bruise associated with the injection site. You will be able to return to your normal daily activities right away, but strenuous exercise should be limited for the initial 48 hours after your treatment.
You can expect to see improvements in the appearance of your wrinkles with the first few days after your treatment. The appearance of the wrinkles should continue to diminish over the next week. Results typically last 3-4 months.
