Did you take the prescription medication NP Thryoid during 2018 and 2019? If you have any of this medication in your medicine cabinet, please check with your pharmacy before you take it. There are certain medication lot numbers that are being recalled. It is believed that the medication might be more potent than it should be. Your pharmacy will know if you were dispensed one of these lot numbers in the past.
The lots affected include some 30-mg, 60-mg, and 90-mg tablets that were produced in 2018 and early 2019. The affected lots had up to 115.0% of the labeled amount of Liothyronine (T3), which is outside of the acceptable range of 90.0 to 110.0%.
